American Chemistry Council Predicts Good Year for Global Chemical Industry

Despite some slowing of global growth and high energy costs,the worldwide chemical industry will see improved output in 2006 and 2007,according to Kevin Swift,chief economist and a senior director at the American Chemistry Council,in his annual industry outlook.He predicts there will be "some moderation of global growth in 2006 in response to higher energy prices,higher U.S.interest rates,and a gradual adjustment of global imbalances."
