PDAC 2003 International Convention Trade Show and Investors' Exchange/March 9-12, 2003 Metro Toronto Convention Centre

Since its inception in 1932, the annual convention of the Prospectors and Developers Association of Canada (PDAC) has been the gathering place for companies and people from around the world involved in the search for and development of new mineral deposits. The four-day event will offer eleven technical sessions, four short courses, core displays, five sessions of open programs and the Annual Trade Show and Investors' Exchange. Keynote speakers will be Bjorn Lomborg, author of "The Skeptical Environmentalist," which challenges the belief that the global environment is getting progressively worse. His talk will be on Monday March 10, at the Mineral Outlook luncheon. Douglas B. Silver, president of Balfour Holdings Inc., will give his presentation on Tuesday, March 11, at the PDACO-CIM Joint Luncheon, His presentation will be on the topic: "Exploration is no longer a discretionary expenditure." Evening social events being offered at this year's PDAC include a Welcome Reception on Sunday, March 9; an Awards Evening on Monday, March 10; Mining Night on Tuesday, March 11; and the Gala Evening on Wednesday, March 12.
