Inmet Intersects 14.4 percent Copper and 8.5 percent Zinc at Cayeli Mine in NE Turkey

Inmet Mining Corp., Toronto, has announced the results of an intersection within the Deep Ore Zone at its 49 percent owned Cayeli copper/zinc mine in northeastern Turkey. The hole was drilled from under-ground at the 900-meter level, which is at the bottom of the existing mine workings. After 317 meters of drilling, the hole intersected 25.5 meters of mineralization grading 14.4 percent copper and 8.5 percent zinc between the mine elevations 583 meters and 558 meters. The mineralized zone consists of massive sulfide with an estimated true thickness of about 18 meters and a horizontal width estimated at about 25 meters. It is the deepest intersection of the Cayeli orebody and is situated 20 meters below and 40 meters north of the previously deepest hole.
