Coeur d'Alene Mines Corp., Coeur d'Alene, ID offered on June 29 to exchange its 13-3/8 percent convertible senior subordinated notes due Dec. 31, 2003, its outstanding 7-1/4 percent convertible subordinated debentures due Oct. 31, 2005, 6-3/8 percent convertible subordinated debentures due Jan. 31, 2004 and 6 percent -convertible subordinated debentures due June 10, 2002.The exchange offer is expected to allow the company to substantially reduce outstanding debt, increase shareholders' equity due to an extraordinary gain that would be recognized upon the retirement of debenture indebtedness, improve cash flow and its overall capital structure.
