Brake-disk manufacturers demand 100% inspection for vehicle safety parts according to a number of non-related procedures. RTE Akustik + Pruftechnik GmbH has developed a combination between acousting resonance analysis and eddy-current testing to detect deviations in nodularity and in the structure as well as cracks and fractures reliably, with resonance analysis being used to check in volume and the eddy current method to inspect the surface.
