MANDATORY REGISTRATION / LICENSING UNDER THE FSSAI ACT

As all concerned would be aware, all food processing units including cashew factories are required to be registered and/or licensed under the FSSAI act, latest by 4th August 2012. In this connection, the CEPCI had conducted an Awareness Program at Kollam on 28th June 2012, for the benefit of its members. A summary of the relevant aspects which were discussed are given below: 100% export oriented units must have Central license.
