摘要

With the progress and the rise of nano-technology, the synthesis of nanomate-rials with specific functions has become possible. Because of their low toxicity, interesting electrochemical properties, biodegradability, biocompatibility, and high mucoadhesive properties, many natural polymers, such as chitin and its derivatives, extracted from fisheries and crustaceans waste, have been used as nanoparticles delivery systems (1-5). These polysaccharides, next to cellulose for their abundant availability in nature, are being chosen as drug and cosmetic delivery system. In fact, they may easily encapsulate bioactive compounds, inducing a sustained release at level of mucous membranes, skin and hair structure (6, 7).
