摘要

Keratomileusis is the collection of refractive defects such as myopia or hyperopia via surgical modification of the curvature radius of the anterior surface of the cornea. Myopic keratomileusis involves resection of a piano lamella using a microker-atome on the cornea. To investigate a possible advantage in quality of surfacing and precision of intervention over the present methods of microkeratecto-my, laser refractive surgery was performed on 12 dog corneas. A Sopra 193 nm excimer laser was used to photoab-late the central part of a piano lamella 8 mm in diameter and 300 11 in thickness after resection.
