摘要

Monolithic tungsten oxide-polybenzylene nanohybrids are obtained in one step from tungsten isopropoxide and benzyl alcohol. The tungsten oxide nanowires are not only able to quantitatively transform benzyl alcohol into polybenzylene but also to generally catalyze the polymerization of alcohols with an aryl methanol group.
