摘要

The aldol and Henry reactions between substituted benzalde-hydes and nitroalkanes are among the most important C-C bond forming reactions in organic synthesis. These reactions, which are known to be catalyzed by various types of base and organometallic catalysts, enable the synthesis of a number of organic compounds and intermediates useful for the development of many kinds of pharmaceuticals and natural products.
