In regards to the Publisher's Letter on loud sound in cinemas and theatres (March 20] 2), I thought I would just make a comment from the point of view of a sound engineer.I have actually been to "Love Never Dies" and I was with the sound crew for two performances. One thing not many people realise is that, although the sound engineer is the one running the show, all the levels are pre-recorded and all decisions on level are made by the director, sound designer and producer. So it is not so simple as "turning it down".
