Rial 'Hands On': Owning an Electric Car

Readers may recall that we have previously reviewed two 100% electric cars: the Mitsubishi iMiEV (February 2011), followed by the Nissan LEAF (August 2012). We also tried to get hold of a Holden Volt when they were released but are still waiting (two years later) for the General's PR people to get back to us! It's probably just as well that we didn't get to review the Volt because unlike the iMiEV and the LEAF, it's not a true electric car - yes, it runs off batteries but has a small petrol motor to charge those batteries.
