摘要

Religious and cultural beliefs are known to have great influence on expectations and behaviors. These beliefs could facilitate or hinder (a) healthy sexual behavior, (b) treatment process, and (c) the patient-professional alliance hence the ultimate outcome of the therapy. This special issue seeks innovative, health-based therapeutic approaches and models that expand the conversation about sex and relationship therapy within the cultural context. We invite empirical or review papers (maximum 6000 words), commentaries, clinical case reports, and opinion pieces (maximum 1200 words) on the subject of sexual and relationship therapy with specific address to cultural and religious contexts. Commentaries and opinion pieces will be reviewed by the Editors alone; papers will be sent for external peer review. The deadline for submissions is February 28th, 2014 for abstracts, with full papers due by August 30th, 2014.
