Visual quality control

摘要

In the attempt to improve the productivity of foundries by automation it is less than the half deal to only increase the speed of machinery. In order to achieve an optimal solution, the production needs also clever sensor systems which immediately recognise when problems emerge. A fast feedback into the process can thus establish an efficient quality control loop. Machine vision systems with specialised optics and elaborated illumination techniques can serve as such sensor systems to ensure quality and to monitor automated production processes intensively.
