In this article we consider a class of iterative methods for the numerical solutions of some robust control problems recently studied in [T. R. Bewley, R. Temam, and M. Ziane, Phys. D, 138 (2000), pp. 360-392]. These methods are based on repeated computations of the state and the adjoin equations. Using the properties of the control operator, we justify these methods and obtain estimates of their convergence rate. Numerical solutions of a robust control problem related to data assimilation in oceanography using these algorithms are also presented. [References: 26]
