12-bit Source Driver with Hybrid Transistor Digital to Analog Converter

摘要

To develop 10-bit or higher gray scale source driver for high resolution TFT-LCD, digital to analog converter (DAC) is a key factor which determines cost since the chip size of DAC is about over 50% of that of the source driver. So we have developed new hybrid DAC architecture for a TFT-LCD source driver integrating a significant number of such DAC to reduce the cost of driver IC.
