Analysis of nutrients in different parts of seagrasses from Tuticorin Coast at different seasons

Analysis of protein, carbohydrate, aminoacid, lipid, organic carbon and calorific value of leaf, rhizome and root of the seagrasses Cymodocea serrulata, Syringodium isoetifolium, Halophila ovalis and Halodule pinnifolia collected from Hare Island, Thoothukudi, Gulf of Mannar region during premonsoon, monsoon and postmonsoon periods was carried out. Part, genus and season wise differences in the values of nutrients were recorded.
