This issue of Seminars in Ophthalmology contains a collection of articles primarily devoted to the field of Neuro-Ophthalmology. The first article is by Johnson and Lee and is entitled "Giant cell arteritis presenting with cotton wool spots." In this case report, the authors discuss an atypical presentation of giant cell arteritis without initial vision loss. The authors emphasize the importance of a high degree of suspicion for giant cell arteritis in appropriately aged patients since early diagnosis and treatment can prevent devastating visual disability.
