Opening the door to science instruction for all through literature

摘要

Aperennial challenge for science teachers is how to increase student interest while teaching science concepts that are difficult to master. These demands are coupled with increasingly diverse classrooms and calls for developing literacy in content areas(CCSSO and NGA 2010). With these increasing demands, science teachers are challenged to use creative instructional strategies to reach all students without sacrificing science content.
