摘要

A full automatic monitor has been developed for in-situ concentration determination of traceheavy metals in aqueous environment. The monitor contains the sensor and control parts. The sensor part consists of a silicon-based Hg-coated Au microelectrodes array (MEA) for the detection of Zn(II), Cd(II), Pb(II) and Cu(II) using anodic stripping voltammetry (ASV) and a multiple light-addressable potentiometric sensor (MLAPS) for Fe(III) and Cr(VI) using I-V scanning. The control part employs pumps, valves and tubes to enable the pick-up and pretreatment of aqueous sample automatically. The monitor realized detection of the six metals mentioned above at part-per-billion (ppb) level without manual operation. This instrumentation will have wide application in monitoring and prediction of the heavy metal pollution in lakes and oceans.
