USFF Conducts Anti-Terrorism/Force Protection Exercise Throughout U.S.

In late spring, U.S. Navy shore installations and activities in the continental United States, Hawaii and Guam participated in an annual security-training exercise coordinated by U.S. Fleet Forces Command (USFF). The anti-terrorism/force protection (AT/FP) exercise, Solid Curtain-Citadel Shield 2010 (SC/CS-10), is designed to enhance the training and readiness of naval security forces to respond to threats to installations and units, the Navy said. As the Navy component for U.S. Northern Command (NORTHCOM), USFF also used the exercise to enhance its ability to support NORTHCOM's Homeland Defense mission, officials said.
