Swire Oilfield Services Announces Angola Joint Venture

Swire Oilfield Services Ltd. (Aberdeen, Scotland) has announced the formation of a new company, Gemstar Oilfield Services (Luanda, Angola), following a ￡9 million joint venture with Angolan trading and oil conglomerate Grupo Gema (Luanda). Work is currently underway to construct the first assembly, maintenance and repair facility in West Africa, where the firm will be based.
