摘要

Tire failure was one of the main factors leading to the fatal traffic accidents. To real-time monitor tire status was the key to prevent road traffic accidents caused by tire failure. Considering the disadvantages of existing tire status monitoring system, a method based on multi-sensors data fusion was put forward. By computing the confidence distance matrix D3 of three groups of tire status sensors, the optimal fusion set was determined. Through the weighted averaging algorithm, the weight coefficient Wi* of each tire status sensor and fusion value were figured out. The road tests were conducted according to the pre-set failure test method. Test analysis result completely conformed to the pre-set sensor failure mode, which showed that this method was feasible and effective to inspect tire status.
