DOD Funds Project to Develop Integrated AUV Underwater Munitions Detector

Weston Solutions Inc. (West Chester, Pennsylvania) announced in November a grant to work with Geometries Inc. (San Jose, California) and the University of Delaware to develop and demonstrate an autonomous underwater vehicle (AUV) that detects underwater unexploded ordnances. Funded through the U.S. Department of Defense (DOD), the project will,integrate a commercially available total field magnetometer within an unmanned AUV.
