Survey of Mississippi River Performed Using SeaBat 8124

A recent revetment survey of the Mississippi River was performed by Chustz Surveying Inc. (New Roads, Louisiana) for the U.S.Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) and produced good results using a RESON multibeam echosounder. Revetment surveys, aprt of the USACE Bank Stabilization Program, are traditionally performed with single-beam echosounders surveying range lines at 50-foot intervals into the bank. This survey, hwoever, was performed using RESON's SeaBat 8124 multibeam echosounder and surveying longitudinally(parallel to the bank).
