US Coast Guard Wants Design Compatibility With ShipConstructor 3D Models

For their proposed 11 new Offshore Patrol Cutters (OPC), the U.S. Coast Guard has asked designers to provide them with a 3D product model compatible with ShipConstructor Software Inc.'s (Victoria, Canada) ShipConstructor. The Coast Guard's National Security Cutters (NSC) and Fast Response Cutters (FRC) are already built in ShipConstructor software. Additionally, almost all potential bidders on the OPC project already utilize the program, the company said.
