摘要

The occurrence of dynamic recrystallization in ferritic iron was confirmed in this study in ultra-low carbon steel at warm working temperatures deformed to large strains. The specimens were warm compressed to a large strain at different temperatures within the ferritic region and in situ water quenched. The deformed microstructures consisted of equiaxed grains surrounded by clearly etched boundaries. Micro-textural analysis by electron back scattered diffraction in field emission scanning electron microscopy clearly showed that these equiaxed grains are surrounded by high angle grain boundaries and transmission electron microscopy examination confirmed the presence of substructure within them.
