President Bush Requests 297.2 Million for Financial Year 2008 MMS Budget

The financial year 2008 budget for the Minerals Management Service (MMS)is 297.2 million.This is an increase of 16.2 million above the financial year 2007 continuing resolution and 4.9 million over the financial year 2007 president's budget."With this budget request,MMS can continue moving forward to ensure safe and clean development of needed ocean energy,as well as an efficient and accurate mineral revenue collection process,"said Johnnie Burton,MMS director.
