The keynote speaker at the April EnergyOcean2005 Conference was Spencer Abraham,secretary of energy in President George W.Bush's cabinet until he left the administration in February of this year.He was very upbeat about ocean energy,and referenced the positive report on ocean energy resources that the Edison Power Research Institute had just released,saying it would be a great asset toward influencing the U.S.Congress,the offshore industry,power producers and investors.
