Prysmian Opens First Extra-High-Voltage Power Cable Plant in North America

Prysmian (Milan, Italy) recently announced that it has opened a new extra-high-voltage power cable plant in Abbeville, South Carolina. The facility, in which the company invested ?32 million, is the first of its kind in North America, representatives said.The plant consists of a vertical continuous vulcanization process housed in a 373-foot tower. The new plant joins the company's existing medium and low-voltage power cable manufacturing facilities in Abbeville.
