摘要

The influence of copper on the surface properties of steel is of great interest, since it is known as a i/tramp element in recycled steel produced from steel scrap[1]. Since copper is sometimes detected on the surface of alloy steel, it may be considered to affect the surface properties. Thus, the surface segregation behaviors of copper is one of the essential information for establishing a circulating utilization .of steel scrap harmonized with environment. However, the surface behavior such as surface segregation of copper in iron has not been investigated, although X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS) and i Auger electron spectroscopy (AES) have been used for investigating the surface segregation of metallic elements such as titanium[2], chromium[2-7], manganese[8] and molybdemim[2] in iron base alloys, providing some interesting results on their surface-active phenomena.
