Ocean Monitoring Systems on Watch in the North Atlantic

Oceanographers from the Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution (WHOI) recently took a major step toward understanding North Atlantic climate by installing a permanently moored data collection system in 3,000 meters of water along the western boundary of the Gulf Stream named Station W.This mooring is a project of WHOPs Ocean and Climate Change Institute,and was funded by the G.Unger Vetlesen Foundation.
