For more than five years, energy experts have warned of an impending energy "perfect storm," wherein a shortage of natural gas will propel prices into the stratosphere. Fortunately for the nation, a series of unusually mild winters have staved off these shortages, and catastrophe has been averted. However, as those of us on the East Coast know, winter arrived in earnest this year and with it, the rumblings of the energy perfect storm.
