摘要

The influence of annealing regarding the structure, phase composition and microhardness of nanostructured carbon steel produced by high pressure torsion (HPT) was examined. This material which is far from thermodynamic equilibrium exhibits enhanced thermal stability and a more sluggish mechanical softening than conventional martensite obtained by quenching from elevated temperatures.
