摘要

Fatigue strength of a Ti_2AlNb-based alloy is compared with that of a particulate composite. The fatigue strength of the composite is 40% stronger than that of the alloy. The role of TiB particles can be divided into two different aspects: Small particles can restrict dislocation movement. Large particles can release the concentrated stress and obstruct crack propagation during fatigue tests.
