摘要

Following conclusions have been obtained from studying the effect of Zr/B additions on grain refinement and high temperature deformation mechanism of a low carbon steel.1. ZrB_2 particles ranging sub-#mu#m to several #mu#m are found at ragged zigzag boundaries, resulting in a fine cast grain structure due to pinning effect on the boundaries.2. Zr/B additions arc effective for grain refinement as well as grain uniformity in the low carbon steel deformed at elevated temperatures.3. Zr and B retard dynamic recovery and recrystallization, encouraging strain hardening and raising the onset of the dynamic recovery and recrystallization temperature.4. The Zr/B added steel has a higher yield stress and a stronger temperature dependence of flow stress in the austenite region than the Zr/B free steel.
