摘要

Our purpose of this study is to design and implement a portable digital microscope which enhances the observation and recording in a variety of environments. Its improved functions include the following: (1) based on the Gauss Optical Theorem, we designed a new method and implemented into the proposed digital microscope system by using Complementary-Metal-Oxide-Semiconductor (CMOS) image sensor. Comparing with conventional optical microscopes, our digital microscope system significantly reduces the volume. (2) According to different observation, we can replace the different magnification objective lenses on a microscope. (3) Apply advanced electronic technology, the system maximum magnification close to 1000 times by use 10× magnification power of objective lens. (4) After digitization of images, Full HD image quality can be achieved and transmitted through to High-Definition Multimedia Interface (HDMI) interface to the screen. Therefore, in addition to the advantages described above, our system has much room for development such as combine the X-Y axis platform, we hope that this new device can replace the tradition optical microscope, and used in biomedical, scientific and industrial fields in the future.
