The U.S.Navy is breaking ground this year to build a facility at the Naval Surface Warfare Center,Dhalgren,Virginia,to test the science of an electromagnetic rail gun.The Navy hopes that it can develop an electromagnetic rail gun by 2010 and possibly deploy it aboard the new destroyer,the DDX.
