SeaWave LLC (Middletown,Rhode Island)recently completed an agreement with Maritrans Inc.(Tampa,Florida)to outfit their fleet of 15 vessels with the SeaWave Integrator F55T,featuring a remote management suite.With a fleet consisting of four tankers and 11 tug/barge units,Maritrans communications needs were evident to SeaWave.The company figured that they needed a reliable and flexible voice and data communications system that will allow them to perform tasks and remotely monitor each vessel from the home office,removing the responsibility from onboard personnel.Maritrans also expressed the need for a complete crew solution that utilized multiple communication mediums.
