Fish Noises to Improve Reef Fisheries Management

Some juvenile coral reef fish are attracted by sounds that they would have heard while they were still in the egg. By using these sounds, it might be possible to lead be fish to artificial reefs where they will start new colonies. According to an international team of researchers, it may be possible in the future to lead young fish into overfished areas and super-stock marine protected areas.
