The state of Florida contributed around 1.6 million to satisfy a shipyard lien so that a 524-foot decommissioned U.S. Air Force missile-tracking vessel, the Gen. Hoyt S. Vandenberg, can be scuttled as an artificial reef off the Florida Keys, Key West officials said.
