摘要

The microstructure evolution and mechanical properties of Al-32Mg alloys solidified under high pressures were investigated. The results demonstrate that the p phase is not formed and the y phase appears under high pressures. The amount of ot-Al increases with increasing pressure, resulting in greatly enhanced mechanical properties. The Al-32Mg alloy solidified under 3 GPa has remarkably improved ultimate tensile strength compared to the alloy solidified under normal pressure, as well as relatively higher yield strength and elongation.
