A Method to Measure the Texture of Secondary Alpha in Bimodal Titanium-Alloy Microstructures

A general method for determining the texture of the secondary-alpha phase in titanium alloys with a bimodal microstructure was developed. Validated using Ti-6Al-4V, the procedure is generally applicable to all alpha-beta titanium alloys and can be applied using a variety of texture-measurement techniques.
