Seed donations grow food and hope

Look what can happen when two retired seedsmen take on the jobs of their lives. At this holiday season, we think more about reaching out and helping less fortunate people. For Ray Baglietto and John Batcha, it is a year-round job. Both are retired seedsmen who have taken on the challenges and the rewards of coordinating seed shipments to hungry people around the world. With the generous donations of seed companies and charitable organizations for more than a decade, their organizations have providedmillions of pounds and packets of seed to grow food (and hope) in well over 100 countries. But, the work is far from over for Baglietto and Batcha, they tell Seed & Crops. Here are their stories.
