As we move into the New Year, I would like to highlight some of the important events and activities of SEAISI in 2014. The first major event of the year for the Institute is the 2014 Travelling Seminar. The seminar is scheduled to be held from 17 to 26 March 2014 in Malaysia, Vietnam, Thailand, Philippines and Indonesia. With the theme "Improving Profitability in Steel Operation through Lean Operation", the seminar will introduce some of the tools that can be employed by steel companies to identify and eliminate wasteful practices in the workplace.
