E-United Group may Cooperate with Baosteel Group on stainless steel

As China-based Baosteel Group Co.'s chairman Xu Lejiang recently came to Taiwan to visit Lin l-sou, chairman of Taiwan's E-United Group, the two groups are reportedly to ally for tapping the global market for stainless steel in the future, according to industry sources. Baosteel is now the largest steel supplier in China with annual capacity of 28 million metric tons, while E-United Group operates several steelmaking companies in Taiwan and Lianzhong Stainless Steel Corporation in China. Lin revealed that his group, if having a good start in cooperation with Baosteel, will consider forming an alliance with the firm.
