THAI HR PRODUCER LINES UP ANTIDUMPING SUIT

Thailand's largest producer of hot rolled steel, Sahaviriya Steel Industries (SSI), is understood to be preparing an anti-dumping suit against HR importers from a number of countries. Although the company declined to provide any clarification and a Ministry of Commerce official would only say that no petition has yet been filed yet, a reliable industry source confirmed that SSI has recently held "preliminary discussion" with the ministry with a view to filing an anti-dumping case against most importing countries, including Japan.
