Winterbotham Darby, a supplier of high quality foods to the retail and foodservice industries and owner of the "Unearthed" brand, is launching new surimi products into UK retail outlets. The surimi products, made with Marine Stewardship Council (MSC)certified Alaska pollock and whiting, include mock squid rings and fish sticks, Unearthed founder Simon Day said. The surimi products are a new venture for Winterbotham Darby. According to Day, the British company has not typically been hugely involved in the seafood sector. Nevertheless, Day believes there is a market for high quality surimi products throughout the United Kingdom.
