South African chain gets into sustainability

Retailer Woolworths South Africa announced in mid-August that it would expand its sustainable seafood commitment by sourcing from Marine Stewardship Council (MSC), or equivalent, certified fisheries and fisheries that are undertaking a credible, time-bound improvement project. The chain said it will also source seafood from World Wildlife Fund South African Sustainable Seafood Initiative (SASSI) green-listed fisheries.
