System Moves Car Dismantling Inside

Al-jon Inc' has introduced the End-of-Life Vehicle Recycling System (ELV), a high-volume car recycling facility that moves the dismantling process indoors.The ELV recycling process begins when the attached Builtrite Model 2100 knuckle-boom crane places a vehicle onto the dismantling table, which holds the car down with hydraulic arms. Using the Builtrite crane, the operator opens the hood and removes the radiator, condenser, engine, transmission, heater core, and other nonferrous and valuable items, placing these components into bins for later processing. The vehicle then heads to an Al-jon car crusher. The ELV system can process 25 cars an hour, says Al-jon.
